Dr Aimable Gahutu Mugarura is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages, University of Rwanda. He has been teaching language skills in French, creative writing, and cultural institutions and policies modules at the same university since 1995. He obtained his PhD from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2005. His area of specialization is social discourse studies, specifically the afropessimism concept. He has been involved in number of research projects and consultancies in line with communication strategy for national agencies, event management, and cultural development in Rwanda.
